BAs often are like PMs

BAs - Business Analysts - are often, as I've seen in my vast experience in corp. America, just "lean" Project Managers (PMs), who, with a little effort can be certified as PMPs. The disciplines overlap to a great extent. Several knowledge areas are extremely similar. I think that given the post 2008 market crash of 2008 created a leaner job market, many employers who hire BAs really want that person to be more of a PM in the role.
