PMP Exam Emphasis

When I sat for the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam in 2006, the major emphasis was the Project Management Process Groups:

1. Initiating
2. Planning
3. Executing
4. Monitoring and Controlling
5. Closing

Exam questions were largely related to one of these groups and still are.  Keep uppermost in your mind that not all of these process groups apply to all projects.  Also, process groups can overlap and interact.

My PMP Exam Sim software for your Windows notebook or computer will immensely help ensure you are comfortable enough with the PMI framework according to the PMBoK, which includes, over 1400 questions on process groups, processes, and related material in a diagnostic format that makes the best use of your valuable study time.

Meet Up

Recently I attempted to start up a metope.com group dedicated to Project Management Professional exam study.  Since I have developed my own study tool over the last several years that has proven valuable in the marketplace as my PMP Exam Simulator for Windows,  my proposal basically combined sharing my tool and how to use it best on light hikes around my home base in the beautiful Southern Appalachian mountains on the Chattahoochee National Forest trails, which include of course the Appalachian Trail (AT), the Benton Mackaye (BMT), which I live on, and many other trails.

This combination of study technique and hiking to me highlights the two essential skills of a project manager:  the ability to budget time to study (which my Exam Sim helps you do), and the love of walking tough trails - a good analogy to something that not enough corporate managers do - manage by walking around, "on the difficult trails", as it were.

If you can relate to this, then at least buy and use my PMP Exam Sim for Windows as a study tool to help you pass your exam.  If you like the meet up idea I proposed and they rejected, let me know and we can arrange a hike along the Appalachians where I can share my philosophy.

Non - Profit Project Management

Non-profit organizations are proliferating. Tax advantages, local and regional government support, volunteer people and their immediate service to community needs make fertile ground for incentive project cultivation and requirements for competent volunteer and paid PMs.  The US economy may be in an upward slope but many of us are still without full work schedules. The non profit sector flows strong with project waters to navigate. The PMP cert is a respected cred.  If you do not have it, my PMP Exam Sim can help you get it. It includes questions of a NPO nature that may appear on your exam along with over 1400 other questions drawn from recent PMBoK and PMI sanctioned material.  My sim software has helped hundreds pass for the last 5 years. Simply Paypal me $45 (cliff_munyan@yahoo.com) and I will email your download so you can start studying efficiently and Pass your PMP exam. The community and business need you!

Have you been a project manager for a few years?

Have you been a project manager for a few years?  A first step to advancement "on the street" is getting a Project Management Professional certification.  What does it buy you?  A feeling of accomplishment that you "really know your stuff".  You are not just faking it, but you have made it.  You are a three letter professional not unlike a Lawyer, Doctor, or Architect - a true professional designation.  You may say "I don't have the time to study for a certification test!", or "I can't afford a review course", or "the study materials are too broad".  These are valid concerns.

My PMP Exam Simulator software for windows is copyrighted software, developed by me, a PMP software engineer with over 25 years of project management experience to address the concerns most of us have about sitting for a professional certification exam.   Here is how each of these concerns is addressed and solved by my Askaguide Exam Simulator:

"I don't have the time to study"    My Askaguide Exam Sim for the PMP Exam enables you to test your knowledge by KA or Knowledge Area on the exam and concentrate your valuable study time on those areas where you are weak.  It is diagnostic and tests you giving you an assessment of your strength and weakness for each part of the exam the PMP considers a project management subject domain or KNOWLEDGE AREA.

"I can't afford a review course"  My Askaguide Exam Sim for the PMP exam is affordable, a value at way less than "the other sim", and is a review course on your computer (or notebook).

"the study materials are too broad"  I guarantee that if you read the PMBoK at least twice, then use my simulator to test yourself diagnostically on the material in the recommended diagnostic format - you will pass!

You have nothing to loose and everything to gain.

Boom Times

The signs are everywhere: news of trends upwards for tech, enterprise, defense and government spending - all a boon to managerial and project hiring creating demand for professionals.  The project management professional certification, promulgated by the PMI, like other certifications proves your credentials for professionalism.  Too busy to study for the exam?  Tools like Askaguide Cert Exam Simulator will help you budget your time and pass.  Organizations large and small look more to professionals with certs - government in particular chooses mangers who demonstrate competence with certification.

Only the Strong Survive

In today's competitive job market, unless you can walk the talk and talk the walk, i.e., understand the minimum set of knowledge attributable to your profession, you will soon find yourself either looking for a new job or looking for a new career.  To stay strong in your chosen career and move ahead or at least move forward in your profession (I presume we are all professionals), then you need to constantly educate yourself to the constant changing methods, best practice, procedures, techniques, tools, and technology.  One way to make sure you do not eat the dust of your competition (it comes with the territory of a manager that others want your job), is to get certified.  A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification demonstrates that you not only have achieved a level of competence with experience, education, and experience, but that you are the pro that constantly strives to stay abreast of what's at the edge of the profession.

I can help you get certified in two ways.  Both ways are not conventional but have 99% pass rate results.  I have helped over a thousand people get certified.   One way is to contact me and arrange for an on ground intensive prep review at your location, my location, in group or as a singleton.   Quality, Time, Cost advantages - pick 3 and contact me to make it happen (click here - it's an email link).

Or, I you think you can do it all by yourself (I did), then purchase my PMP Exam Simulator here (a link this is).

For a small investment either way, you can insure your future in one of the fastest growing and most lucrative professions in industry today.

Why follow the pack - it's only the way to mediocrity.  Follow me.   More fun than fly fishing in the freezing cold.  Find out where your strengths and weakness is for the exam, then study accordingly to become professionally strong and pass your exam.

Come to Blue Ridge GA to Prep for your PMP Exam

Eventually I will become a registered education provider with PMI and be able to give you PDUs when you attend my prep classes, webinars, and lectures.  But until then, I nevertheless have valuable tools and an approach to help you study efficiently, budget your time wisely and pass on your first sitting.  I have designed an approach that will teach you in a few hours time - in a beautiful setting, how to pass WITHOUT sitting in a stuffy conference room for a week, snacking on stale donuts and bad coffee.

If you live in the Southeast, chances are you are only a few hours from my cabin/home/office/lab, where I develop software, commune with nature, fly fish, and teach PMPs how to pass the exam.  I am a registered PMP, and a software engineer, who loves to teach and advocate the project management profession.

Contact me by email, or call me at 706 - two five eight, three 0 36 to get more details on prep classes or individual prep tutoring using my unique approach.

Or, if you think you can do it on your own (you can), get my PMP Exam Sim software.

Either way is a small investment to make in a future that will pay huge ROI.
